Just about to upgrade to Win10 however I only have 7gb left on the drive that Win8.1 is installed on. I only have photoshop CS6 installed on the drive so not quite sure what's taking up the space. It's a 60gb drive which has XP to 8.1 upgrade on it.

Question is can I install Win10 on my 2nd HDD which has plenty of space?

its a 60gb disk with 8.1 and photoshop on and you don't know where the space is being used up

Guessing you're talking about a PC ? You'd need to install a licensed copy of W7 or 8.1 onto your other disk, and boot to that, then do the upgrade.

60gb? Sure it isn't a USB stick?

Went from 8.1 to 10 but my wifi or wifi menu wasn't showing up at all. Said I had to update the driver adapter but I couldn't get the Ethernet to work so back to 8.1 I went. Wifi working fine again.

My upgrade went through fine. Nothing much has changed except now it constantly tells me one of my hard drives is going to die

I'm very surprised we have not had tons of calls with upgrade issues. Think I've only had one issue where the upgrade screwed up Office 365

Used it a lot more over the weekend, slow, annoying and the start bar/tile thing is pointless. My desktop looks like a mess and its slower than 8.1 as well.

Can you revert back? Or does that involve wipe/restore

Far to buggy to be installed at the moment. Will try it at the turn of the year.

What sort of bugs are you experiencing?

Like with any OS upgrade, it's always worth hanging back a few months and waiting until they push out the bug fixes.

Reading forums, it seems there are plenty of people having similar issues after upgrading to W10; doing a fresh install of W10 appears to sort it.

You can go back. Took my laptop about 2 minutes to revert back to 8.1.

Upgraded a work laptop to 10 but after a couple of reboots the start menu / taskbar stopped working which limited what I could do on it. Tried the powershell fix for it that is out there but didn't work.

Up to that point it seemed fine, joined the domain, ran the basics such as AV and Office no problem as you would hope!

Reverted back to 7 for now as I only had it for two days before I had to hand it over to the user.

Will be giving it a proper go once I get back from holiday.

I seem to have a bug. My profile is in a "Homegroup". And when navigating File Explorer, it keeps switching to some "Homegroup" screen saying there are no machines in the group.

Any fucking ideas?

Turns out it was a folder shared with an existing HomeGroup that no longer exists. I just moved the contents of the folder and then deleted it. Seemed to have fixed the issue.

It appears there is quite a few issues with HomeGroup compatibility across devices.
