Get them fitted, its a piece of piss, the only complication is drilling holes in the splash guards and even that is pretty simple.

I was tinkering with the van trying to work out where to stick the 240v inverter and I had a good look at the wiring for the split charge & power management system: All I can say is who ever wired it up is a fucking cow boy!

Just ordered a load of decent silicone cable, fuse holders and connectors so I can rip it all out and start again!

We took it away for the first time this weekend.. Set off Friday night and arrived at our random location at around 21:30..

We learned a few valuable lessons:
1) The bed requires a topper, its like sleeping on a rock!
2) We need to get a little camping pisser.

I was camping for the first time in 30 years this weekend to do some mtb bollocks. It was like a veedub fan boy festival. T4 & T5 campers all over. They all had little portapotty tents round the back.

I had a portable pressure washer with shower attachment. Easy. Granted there may some mental scars that others on the campsite may now have to deal with, but I'm okay.

I've seen a few vans with a shower built into the tailgate, although the logistics of carrying enough water becomes an issue

Relocated the leisure battery to under the drivers seat to free up cupboard space.

Its currently held in a cam-buckle strap while I await the new mounting plate:

Typical T5 rusty seat base as VW used recycled bean tins to make them.

Emergency toilet, fits like a glove!

The pots and pans etc. will be relocated, I wouldn't want to risk anything 'dripping' on them <blurgh>

If anyone hasn't been Mudeford is a lovely place, if not a little bizzare.
