I will be painting them silver... 16x8 et10

Thinking of tryng 20 45 16 trackday tyres on them - obv need to work out the fit once axle is on

Also bought a fibre glass one of the lips - not sure on it but it was cheap

Well this was my thought process - i like the was escorts look on minilites and comp mos

Then i seen darcy had 15s on his, which look great, however i want 16s with longer spoke design

Thats when i found rota rb 16x8 - however the offset is a bit weak et38 and spoke are flat, more research ensues and i find 16x8 et rbr (perfect) - however they only come in the polished/gunmetal colour and are £570 with no tyres.
I was worried about how they look on a coupe shape so looked at them on various models (some pics are 17x9.5 so be patient and use your imagination)

The kadett has a more angular look so look at this

Then wonder how the front will tie in - so find more agressive fronts to gauge

I want all silver or posibly bronze/gunmetal - all i know is im not into a polished lip - so decide on second hand if im refurbing anyways. These cost £250 and have took months to find. They are the perfect size so i can run decent 205 45 16 track type tyres - probably federal rsr or ns2r granted as they are £££££ lol

Unfortunately untill the door is repaired, its stuck so i cant fit the set

Didn't realise you were wanting to change the colour. Will look much nicer in silver so that's good. Thought process is a bit weird though seen as they're all deeper dished rims and some stunning cars

Ah also didn't realise you were changing the car colour. Imola red should look fantastic. Always liked this project and the plans sound perfect, I actually think this is going to be one of your cars that you finish and will actually be a success lol.

Wouldn't mind buying it once you've finished it

Did some work this morning, got all four wheels on which was a right fuck on in my garage with no space and with a car the jack wont go under

Soo yes, sort of doing my own thing with this and most will hate it, but im not a fan of the quarter vents, so started getting rid of them

The other side will flip up to reveal the filler when done

Lol i have no choice - car was a £4k car when i bought it, have well over £2k in parts spent already lol cant just give up and lose my ass, this is why im doing one job at a time....

Once these body work bits are done, then its the 4 link axle, watts linkage (6link), and rear bags

Then the engine will come out and big brake, bags, engine mounted and rhd conversion

Then its peddle box as i dont want a servo + hydraulic clutch on r28

Then cage, seats and new dash

Then turbo and exhaust - probs side exit or will need a tunnel

Then shotblast and paint

Then it needs engine rebuild and forge

Then slow slow slow refurb, powder coat and rebuild

It will take me another year atleast, more likely two
