Those who have or have used GAZ ultra low coilovers on the front did you have any camber issues or were they simply bolted on and tracked up?

Its just where to get it done that's the thing.

I only want to drop the front a touch so might just get some custom front springs made up.

Mine had elongated holes, and included camber bolts. Not sure if same on all Gaz models.

depends on tyre width if i remember rightly. i could fit 195/50/15 regular road tyres but using 195/50/15 r888s and the like i needed a 3mm spacer to clear

I would be running 195/40/16 on a 6.5j wheel with an offset of ET45.

Do people put anything on the threads of the coilover before fitting them to protect them like copper slip or something to protect them and stop them seizing?

best thing is buying some coilover covers. Haimsey made some for his.

The black ones GAZ do now have much better plating, mine are still amazing looking after a fair few miles etc.

Coilovers covers just trap dirt, water and grime...

I used spray on grease that sets like wax,
Couple of coats and the coilovers were on the car for years and still looked brand new

Anyone know if the extra low ones should have helper springs on the fronts and back coilovers?

just fitted the extra low ones to the front of mine mate, i didnt want too but id already bought the comp brake top mounts with rose jointed track rods and didn't realize i had to fit the coilovers for them to fit, tut

the fronts didn't come with helper springs but back when i bought my rears they did and i just whipped them out (rears aren't the extra low ones though)

also bit of advice when ordering them, ask to upgrade the springs to a higher lb
i run 500lb rear and 400lb fronts
