Rust trail is a nice touch but I can't help wondering whether that is accurate, ie. its not steel and there's no rain

Quite some attention to detail to employ it. I just wondered.

The Falcon spent some time holed up on Hoth, where I'm sure an alien version of Salt was used

Got nothing on the steel though

What's size got to do with faster than light travel?

Also I wonder whether the deathstar had a hyperdrive - otherwise it would take years to get anywhere, and the rebels could easily evacuate/rebuild on another planet with notice

A huge lump mooching around in a gravity-less vacuum doesn't seem that of an issue but I'm more interested in how it flies in an atmosphere

I can only guess that the large vents at the back and the smaller ones on the sides and front divert air down to keep it up, a bit like the vertical take off aircraft we have

It doesn't appear to have anything underneath.. That also begs the question, how does it bank and roll in a vacuum?

Why Dnt the red follow the lines next to the coloured areas? That bothers me. Unless. It's accurate to the original
