So last night i got 2 nails in one tyre. eventually got the spare on the car

What should be a simple place of getting new tyre becomes a nightmare when dealing with the lease company. Policy is Michelins in which there is a 4 week back log with ATS for 255/35 R20 97Y

So havin spent most of the day on the phone with the lease company arguing about the fact they expect me to drive around with a 50mph limit Tyre when they can get a Prelli one for tomorrow is so frustrating

here is how it stands

Space savers always look comical. Especially from behind.

true - if it was rated to higher speeds it wouldn't bother me - but 50mph on motorways frustrates me but probably other drivers more

It might be policy but can you not repair it until the new one arrives?

Aye for about 20quid I'd be getting it repaired regardless, rather than drive around on a spacesaver!

i understand that but its the principle. I pay maintenance of £105 a month within my allowance so shouldn't have this is issue

They have agreed now to allow a Prelli to be fitted - just had the call.

Policy is to replace if it's damaged, that's the garage trying to skin a few quid where it isn't needed.

Anyhow they should repair free of charge till your new one arrives.

Strange policy. I thought they just want for premium.

What would they do if you rocked up with two knackered worn tyres. Send you away for four weeks until the Michelins were in?

Dad got a puncture just before Christmas in the gayus on the M4 one morning. They come with some gashy gashy foam pump, so he filled his mullared tyre with foam and proceeded to bomb along the motorway at 70.

When he got to work, he told his fleet manager who told him to pop outside, take the keys to one of the pool Priuses and 'borrow a wheel from that one until we can get a tyre company who can get a Mitchelin eco warrior tyre in stock to come out'

Its all a ploy by tyre manufacturers and car manufactures, modern cars prop up the tyre industry.

Why do we need 20" rims? There is no reason for it, F1 cars use 13" rims

I have 18s, 16s, 15s and 13s because that's what they came with and because they were appropriate to the vehicles.

I did have 14s too, but I had to scrap that one.

I want a Mini with 10s

Ah ha, cheers Ben. They look so wrong. Looks like some sort of weird Indy car or similar.
