I like that glossy slate looking block paving? What ever it's called, probably dead expensive but looks a lot easier to clean oil off which is a must for vauxhall ownership hence why my driveways gravel gaha

Not keen on that me, I used to deliver to a big house with a long uphill drive and they had caution slippy surface signs on the grass next to it, and in slightly wet weather it was like an ice rink I'm pretty sure its a cheaper alternative, its just concrete that's been stamped to look like block paving and sealed.

Ah yes, imprinted concrete.

I have been warned about them.

Booked in for the end of Feb when the diggers come in

Decided to go with just one additional car space for the time being.

In years to come, i'd like to build a second garage. Not got the budget for that at the moment.

As people have said the money is 'in the ground' so to speak.. Tarmac is flexible so the foundation doesn't need to be as good; but you don't want your blocks moving around or cracking so you have to spend a bit extra on labour and aggregate.

I have to agree .. It does look a good job, but you'll kick yourself in a few years time when you want to do the rest and none of it matches

Looks fantastic andrew. Love the middle border to show the separate parking spaces for the female drivers who can't park for shit

As for doing the full driveway, in Andrews case I probably would've tbh. Bet it cost enough just for that bit though!

Are you able to share the cost, so I can compare it with my own?

I wish I had done my side driveway bit aswell, but it was way above my skill set. Slope + joint driveway with next door + 2 drain covers + a water drain. I'd have fucked that right up

It's cost around the 3k mark.

I may get the rest of the drive done if i'm honest, need to look at the finances as we have a little one on the way in a few months.
