dont imagine this will be everyones type of thing, but i really enjoyed the weekend. went down on friday morning leaving carlisle at 5am, just got back home about 2 hours ago. slept in my van for 2 nights, actually quite comfy on an air bed, and not even that cold. drank a lot of whiskey and cider, and ate chicken nuggets and chips.

here are some pics.

thats my van and an awning i borrowed from a mate.

cooking breakfast in the tent/awning in the morning.

didn't get chance to ask what was in this. i assume a diesel engine.

Some good pictures of some great vans. What's the score with the very short wheel base camper?

Where was this? Saw tonnes of campers on the M42 this evening. Pretty sure I drove past that one in your last pic.

Best show I've been to. So laid back, everyone would talk to anyone. Even some of the vehicles in the general camping area were amazing! The majority of the vehicles on display the owners were sleeping in all weekend as well. In full use as what they were intended for/built for. Not like the car people that say it's a daily driver.

That looks like a great weekend. Really interested scene seeing what people can do to their vans, certainly interesting and you'll never get bored of seeing new ideas.

Not into the rusty stuff, some people try too hard to please people on forums, but some are lovely. Still prefer a Burstner 787 though

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
