On my way down south yesterday, (M40) was doing 80/85mph I reckon when a black Volvo shot straight on my bumper. Carried on for about half a mile then got suspicious so, signalled over to the left and slowed to 70mph. As I did this, the Volvo came over to the middle lane, flashed the lights in the back very briefly then shot off in front. I didn't get to read the message but it didn't say "follow me" like I've seen before and he didn't pull in front of me. Maybe it said "slow down"? Anyone else seen/had this?

Nah you're fine, just a warning there

I had the same happen to me on the M40, unmarked black Bmw 5 series up my arse and I couldn't move over due to traffic for about a solid 10mins moved over doing 75-80 then thought I'd give him a taste of his own medicine when I was behind him.....got to 85-90 with me right up behind him like he did

Rear blue lights came on ......oh fuck

...then 3 seconds they went off, he booted it to waaaay over a ton.....I move over to middle lane and slow down to 80 "whoops...that was close"

Unless they stopped you, you won't hear any more of it

You make them sound like they are a bunch of motorway sex predators.

I find motorway police to be one of the most relaxed police out there.
They don't pull people over unless necessary.

I think the undercovers just like to hoon up and down the M40 - you always see them flying along but never see anyone pulled over. I've seen some pretty cool disguises on their cars too. One of the best was a Volvo estate with a roof rack - the blue lights were built into bars. There was an Impreza with the spoiler removed so you could see the message banner and blue lights in the rear window a few years back too.

I saw one on the M25 genuinely looked like a builders van, suddenly he must have got a call as the siren went on and their were hidden blue flashing lights in the grill and rear lights...first time ive seen one

and then shot off

or either that or he had them installed illegally and decided to use them to speed though the m25 traffic, although I doubt someone would take such a risk, would get done so hard if they were caught

You sure that wasn't because he shot off and lost them?

some where better to be I think, they weren't following him as such he was in the shot for about 5 miles whiles they were doing 90-120. He pulled off a junction they carried on

Coming back from London last week on the M6 with cruise set to 85, marked up X5 shot past and flashed up Slow Down on his rear window.

I'm not worried about it. Think i'm due a few points
