That's why we liked it (EDIT: Less obtrusive, not Steve Peat ). The "old" one (as it has been replaced by the Ghost-S) is only £250. Does 1080p at 30fps and 720 at 60fps. Got 10% off using code "P18710" which paid for the 32GB SD card.

We liked the Drift because it has a built in screen, is already waterproof (no need for silly case), replaceable lens and uses a standard camera mount, so compatible with our tripods and other general stuff i.e. gorillapod.

I see it as the thinking mans headcam

Should mean our future vids are better quality too!

Aye, so it is very similar to our existing headcam which is an old Samsung thing that connects via wire to a hand held camcorder.

Fingers crossed it works a proper treat!

EDIT: Oh and it has a mic 3.5mm in, which means you can put a mic in your helmet, jacket or what ever to stop the wind noise. Particularly useful for motor racing!

Also has HDMI out and WiFi, with the ability to download vids straight to tablet/phone/laptop!

Default always used to be Specialized Rockhopper but there is so much in thst price range, and being out of touch, I wouldn't have a clue.

The Rockhopper is a good place to start to see what type of bike you get for that.

I had looked at the rockhopper but the forks only have 80mm travel and sub £500 the brakes, although disc, are mechanical. Was looking for some advice on any possible better options.

80mm forks? Is it a 29er?

I wouldn't recommend a 29er as a first bike.

Been out today on my new Tarmac SL-4 for a quick ride. Got drenched and hail smacking into you when you descend at 30mph is not much fun!

Gotta bleed my brakes today, back is virtually non existent. Looks like a horrible process lucky I've got a day off work to do it and don't need the bike until tomorrow.
