Ha Ha Ha, did my Mariva front calipers blue!! didn't notice the power increase

T1R's aren't a bad
tyre tbf, just replaced mine with R1R's, same compound as R888R's to be used as my wets..are 1.2's big enough to fit over the Audi brakes Adam??

Must of been the wrong shade of blue then

Not used that tyre before but it's on the msa blue book tyre list so when I race next year they will be allowed, if I'm not a fan I'll sell them on and try another.

18" wheels are the smallest I can run on the 365mm brake set up so they will fit.........just

I had blue brakes but I painted over them in silver

the paint is slightly flaking off now so with every flake my car gets slightly more powerful

Collected my new wheels, got them for a bargain price, they have recently been refurbished and the tyres are like new

Now I have a new daily this car will be turned into a full time track/race car so I've made a start buying in some needed repair or reliability mods.

Supercharger rotor pack rebuild kit

Rain light, scrutineers stickers (only need a couple of them but they were cheap) and wheel stud and nut kit to help with wheel changes.

All new CV joints, Saab outers and calibra inners (ABS rings will be removed)

Reason I go for Saab is the thickness and design is better than the Vauxhall and is less prone to the end snapping off.

Also got another set of wheels to act as dry's so these will have the semi slick tyres on

And final wash before it gets put in the workshop to be ripped apart, really need to find some time to work on the car as I'm stupidly busy at the minute.

Finally cleared my work load and made some time for my car, so set about starting to strip it out before I make a cage for it. My plan is to race it in the 2016 armed forces race challenge representing the Royal Navy and Royal Marines team. The race schedule looks like this:

I'm going to be massive up against it as I'm gonna be away from the car until the middle of February.

So made a start removing the interior

Have loads more to remove but it's a start. Couldn't resist plonking a seat in and having a trial sit

I reckon between 130-140kg so far, still more to come out yet. I'll put it back in the corner weight scales once it's fully stripped

Yeah it's not bad, hoping for closer to 150-160kg all in but will then be re adding probably 50kg of cage

The AFRC is a 40 minute race with extra points earnt for consistent lap times, have to pit once.

I will also be looking to do a couple of rounds in the track attack V series.

It's not mint anyway, and panels are cheap and my mate own a bodyshop

The crash/rubbing costs is the reason I didn't buy a vx220 in the end

get all that sound proofing off and all the bits that don't make it go forward or help with strength and you should get over 200kgs less before cage.
I lost almost 200kgs from the corsa c, but putting more on now its going to be a sound car

I'm gonna have a good read of the msa blue book and various race series rules as I'd like to remove the built in rear seat and parcel shelf part as once cage is in it will have little use, the wiring will get stripped down but yeah 200kg should be achievable

Time to get on with the car now I'm back in the country.

Treated the car to some handling mods, spherical bearing wishbones, rose jointed drop links, spherical bearing rear beam bushes and solid subframe bushes from Dan @ RnD motorsport.
