Looks like it could be a far worse catastrophe them anyone could have anticipated.

Japan’s apocalypse continues. Emergency conditions persist. No end in sight looms. Fukushima’s radioactive discharges can’t be stopped. They continue. They’re uncontainable.

At issue is by far the worst environmental disaster in history. It’s multiples worse than Chernobyl. It’s an unprecedented catastrophe. It’s reason enough to abolish nuclear power.

I got as far as this and thought "yes, this is definitely going to be a totally unbiased article full of 100% facts"

Epidemic cancer levels are certain. And not just in Japan. In early July, Fukushima’s former chief operator, Masao Yoshida, died of esophogeal cancer.

He was 58. Tepco lied saying his death was unrelated to radiation exposure. Japanese children are experiencing a shocking 40% rise in thyroid irregularities.

Sources for this?

They've got some genuine quotes, mixed with rubbish, and only seem to have spoken to anti-nuclear people.

Great article.

I just read everything, I love reading, nothing gets past me.

I don't think anything is factual is it really, at best the majority of information is an educated guess.

Its amazing really, that despite this being "the worst natural disaster that has ever happened" big news firms, such as the BBC, havent decided to run with this massive news, at all.

In fact they've found room for "Men In Sheds" an article about an Australian scheme to that bring DIY fans together coming to the UK, but not this. Odd that they are so off the ball on this one.

Is it even possible to die from radiation related cancer within 4 months? That sounds a little unreal.

Granted, working at the plant he might have suffered exposure to radiation prior to the incident, but I'd think that would be an issue related to work protocols and not the disaster it self.

This is one of your biggest problems I think Tiger.

You don't seem to have any idea how to evaluate if something is reliable or not.

You just blindly believe whatever article says what you want to hear, then say things like is anything factual, or you can't prove there aren't ghosts.

That article is garbage, badly written, not proofread, full of 'quotes' with no source and then some probably genuine quotes from quite clearly biased 'experts'.

All in all, a low quality article.

"Educated" being used pretty loosely there.

Where did I say I believed it? I just requoted what was written, I don't anywhere mention I believe it you need to stop jumping to assumptions on my beliefs.

I didn't force you to read it but you chose to anyway.

I like reading, just like you. I also like finding out what's actually going on though and not just making it up.

A thread like this will be 1 of 2 things. An interesting post that you want other people to see, or a stupid post that you want other people to see.

Going by every other thread you make on things like this, you 100% believed every single word of the article. My assumption is unfortunately probably correct.

This was on bbc world news the other night. All they said was it's still leaking into the water supply or something.

I think tigers smoked way too much weed and is now a paranoid mess.

And in contrast to your assumptions, I barely believe anything I either hear on the radio nor read in any publication whatsoever. I don't read any form of newspaper at all, and I don't watch any news on the tv, nor listen to the news on the radio.
