Also need to ditch the control box under the ash tray so you can have a cubby hole there instead of the flat top with the control box under it.

Yep, keep meaning to find one! Don't suppose you have one knocking about do you?

Only drove it about 30 yards last night but the non airbag wheel feels so good

Hoping to start the welding this weekend so thought i'd make a start on seeing what needs doing. It's surprisingly solid with only really the bottom of the arches gone and the rear of the sill and the rear beam needs replacing so all in all not bad at all (can see it has had plenty of welding in the past though).

Was convinced the back panel was scrap but pulled the back bumper off and was very happy to see an almost solid panel

Probably looks worse in pics than in person due to the flash tbh..

Looks like it may be quite bad from the pictures they hide rust under the stone chip my gsi didn't look half as bad but was full of rust hopefully it's not the case for you though

Lol words of encouragement there lmao

Will be cracking on with mine later - solid 6 hours or so - should get all interior out and the sound deadenning up - will see how bad it really is then

Maybe even the kit off too

Haha, yeah it's not got a positive spin on it has it

I've seen much worse and it's still a 20 year old Corsa that I bought from a breakers that was heading to the crusher so was expecting it to be bad, it's no where near as bad as I thought though - all the inner arches are solid and the main floor pan is sound.

Was just going to get the bits that need painting painted but getting tempted to just go the whole way and get the thing fully repainted once it's MOT'd and on the road

This weekend hopefully, I can weld but my mate is the expert when it comes to cutting and replacing sections, currently planned for Sunday, will have to see how far through it we get.

Got two new arch repair panels to go on and picking up my new rear axle on Saturday morning.

Bought my other one from sel-imperial in 2013 but they don't seem to sell to the public anymore.

Made a start on the welding today, well my mate did all the work, I just pretty much watched

No before pic but there was a pretty horrific hole in the wheel well which is now solid

Rear arch cut out, bit of plating to be done on the inner then it's ready for the new piece to go in, would of been today but we ran out of time...

Not sure when we will be carrying on, maybe do a few hours next weekend.

Interesting update! Was searching eBay for any GSi bits as I normally do feeling slight gutted at how much work the Corsa needs and I spot a GSi for sale, looks tidy, good price, got a few more pictures sent over and a deal was done!

I now own White GSi which is MOT'd and I can drive! Still needs a few jobs doing which I'm happy with as I'm still wanting a project, just not as extreme as the grey one

Here's the new one, I anyone is interested in taking the grey one as it is then u2u me or I will be breaking it shortly.

Will get more pics when it's cleaned up! Made up haha
