Booked the van in today for a same colour respray, getting any patches of rust treated, all the dings and dents blitzed, new front n/s arch, bumpers smoothed and sprayed, wing mirrors colour coded, new door locks, new window rubbers.

Really looking forward to getting that fresh look back, the spray job on it is rough at best with runs etc in it. It's held the weather out though, and apart from some surface rust theres very little rot, and that patch getting replaced (front arch).

Booked in 21st July!

Cant wait!

Bought two new wings today, whilst in the body shop next week they're removing old wings, waxoiling the new ones, spraying and refitting for £100 so one less little job to do.

My van's in today for 2 weeks for the full respray. The company thats doing it - Hinckley Body WRX will be updating it as it progresses on their facebook page (you can still see the page without being a member).

I had a late change of mind with the overall scheme, i'm now going for original colour respray for the body, and a gloss black roof, gloss black mirrors and A pillars and also the metal between the front windows and the side windows. I'm also having the barn door rear spoiler fitted and painted gloss black too.

Really can't wait to see the progress!

The van is overdue as I'm having some more work done now. I went there to have a look today, it's got no doors, bumpers, windows, windscreen, wings, wing mirrors and the paint is pretty much stripped back all over! It should started taking shape over the next few days though as they've filled every tiny ding, pulled out damaged panels and rubbed back to the metal all the patches of rust, which luckily were minimal. They're sealing inside the arches, wings and sills in some really tough sealant that should pretty much seal against weather for the life of the van. They had the windscreen out to address some rust blisters around the seal which are now sorted and I'm having a new windscreen fitted now too as it's cheap to do whilst the other is already out, it had scratches and small chips so may as well do it.

I barely recognised the van when I walked in, absolutely can't wait to see it finished. The bills running at £3000 at the minute.

It’s been a while but fitted solid Delphi discs (no abs / vented discs on this) Delphi pads, new Sachs short throw front shocks, oil filter change. Will replace rear shocks and discs / pads some point soon. Need something to harness the mighty 67hp.
