Start hammering the website around 8:30; in the past i've managed to grab tickets before the official release time. Similarly there might be a 'backdoor' (like there was this year) to getting through the queue, so keep an eye open on Twitter.

Getting closer now! Costing an arm and a leg though with all the camping shite! Seems more like a military operation at minute than an enjoyable time, hope it all pans out!

no difference - except try arriving as early as poss. car parks open tues @ 8pm. so the arrivals are more spread out.

I got there at 1am in 2011 and drove straight in.

Which ever is closest to where you plan to camp ie - don't park near gate C if you plan to camp on the west side, like i did a few years back, as it'll be a trek

Always handy having a bigger tent tbf as you're going to end up having someone pitching right outside your door anyway.

Currently undecided to whether or not i can be arsed carrying food/stove with there only being two of us this year.

Christ
Guessing you're putting a few people up for the festival?

Although those garden trucks are extremely handy and i probably should invest in one over my current cacky fold-up sack truck. Do they pack up at all or do you have to stuff it in your car like pictured?

all sides come off as does the handle, so it can be flat packed to an extent. We will be traveling down in a van, so probably put it in the van half packed. 3 of us are staying in the tent this time!

As that tent practically has a gazebo on the front it looks ideal. I was planning on taking a gazebo, but due to how crowded the camping at Glasto seems to get I am guessing I would be moaned at and have to take it down?

As for turning up at 1am... I will be in my bed! Had planned on trying to get there for around 9am Wednesday morning.

I'm going to be camping with about 10+ other people, we will all camp together and have a little area in the middle so its no big beef.

The whole dont bring gazebo thing is about a) space and b) people ALWAYS leave them behind

If people moan at you tell them to fuck off, they arent on the banned list or anything like that. Worst case you will wake up in the morning and someone has put their tent in a spot you previously thought was only suitable for standing or under your gazebo. Its quite amazing

It is pretty amazing where people manage to pitch their tents. Had someone do that to a group of us a few years back - left a spot around a metre square with all tents facing in, came back later to find some prick had pitched their tent smack bang in the middle with their tent poles and pegs through our doors

Xs - You'll get moaned at but if there's a few of you then it's a good idea. Just remember to take the gazebo with you when you leave.

Yeah it was about 30 quid! It's only to keep rain off! Im worried about size as we wont be there till about 9pm Wednesday. Got some mates going but not sure how they will be able to save a spot big enough.

I'm heading down for 9am as well
But no, it should be alright (i hope, was last time) but it does depend on where you plan to camp. Just don't leave it much later as by late morning/midday the place is rammed and it only gets worse from there.

Does everyone know where they're camping?
Think we'll be doing the Diary Fields again this year - was decent last time, not too quiet, not too rowdy and right next door to The Park (some cool little places in there).

9pm wednesday us. Well we set off from sheffield at 12pm.not sure where we are camping just because would like to be near mates but just cant see it happening! Probably just go with the flow, I'm more inclined to walk further and have a bit more peace than the opposite I think.
