On the subject of electric cars my little lad has a ride on and it's so noisy motor squeals and it drives me mad

Any options on making it quiet? Is that a case of using better quality motors?

Have some off road nitro thingy in the basement. Stupid thing always breaks.

Last time I tried to fire it up it would idle allright, but stall as soon as I tried to rev it.

No idea if it's the glow plug or if the nitro can get too old...

Better motor or upgrade the bushes in the motor. Could also be the pinion gear.

Nitro fuel can get old. Anything over 6 months old can cause problems. Over a year old, bin it.

Nah I acquired a HPI MT2 of a mate with some fuel that was bought the last time the thing ran (many years ago). Once we'd managed to get the engine freed up and set the needles right it started fine. By the look/smell of it the nitro content of the fuel was pretty close to 0, yet it ran fine (ran even better when mixed 50:50 with some 25% lol).

That being said nitro fuel is hydroscopic so running a car on old fuel for prolonged periods can corrode the internals.

Got a TT01, 4 wheel drive, good fun, used once or twice, end up having yo strip it down and rebuild after each use.

don't get me wrong, old nitro fuel isn't ideal but I wouldn't bin it just because its old. Its still usable as a back up.

I had a gallon of fuel that lasted me 4 years once I often get into it for a bit then get bored again! Always put after-run oil in my engines and run them dry before storing tho.

Nah, under the shell is where it shows whether its a good or shit car.

You can fit a shell to anything.
