Been looking into ipads and have no idea what the difference is between the ipad 2/ipad 3?
I know theres the price difference of course but its not that much?

Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

Most notable difference would be the screen, 3 has higher resolution Retina display.

The iPad 3 has been superseded now though, new one has the new connector and is faster, Apple refer to it as iPad with Retina display.

Apple refurbished 3's seem good value, £315 for 16gb wifi when they have them in stock.

Argos and currys are doing the 3 for £369 which i dont think is that bad, the ipad2 is £329 so not exactly a huge difference! THank you

If you are in no real rush keep an eye on Hotukdeals.

Apple were selling the new iPad for £368 yesterday, HMV have had some cheap 3's and ebuyer were selling the new one for £300, although that sold out in 20mins, sold something like 2000!

Should be more deals to be had now the 3 has been replaced.

I also wanted to know what the difference is, so I did a bit of research and borrowed a 3 for the day etc.

Ipad 2 was my choice, cheaper, better battery, not slower at the internet than the 3 if you're using wi-fi which is what I'd need... They still make the 2!

Plus I get 10% off at work so the 2 makes more sense.

Looking to be buying it before next weekend as its my birthday present lol, wish i had of known about the deals now! Was looking in comet as they were closing down there tight as no money knocked off haha

few tests have shown the retina one is no faster than the 2, because all the extra processing power goes to running the screen. not sure how true it is but ive read that a few times.

There's absolutely no reason to buy a 2 now unless spending the extra means you couldn't eat.

I think you must have got the very latest one, 4/whatever.

The one that was brand new 6 months ago is now £329, that's why there's no reason to buy the older one with a crap screen.
