firstly, get a dictionary, then go on any of the links whittie posted to get quotes.

Some tips to try:
- add parents too the policy (dont go on their policy),
- change the mileage, lower the better,
- change where you park it (roadside is cheapest for me).
- play a few companys off each other.

Really? I insured a clio 182 with 1 year exp / ncb and was just under £1100 for the year. That was with brentacre, and 6 month down the line i had an ep3 which was an extra £60.

Just insure it with a parent or grandparent as main driver, and you as a named driver.

Can't be illegal surely, thought it was just a grey area??

Guy at work, just passed his test about 6 months ago. 17 year old. His insurance policy is through his elderly gran, with him as a named driver and her the main driver. Had a D reg Mini as his 1st car, was Kawasaki Green, with 4 exhausts. Had a few run ins with the coppers, had a few accidents, and 1 serious accident where he was shunted in the rear, car was written off, policed involved and what not.

Surely if it was illegal, he would have been found out after that accident. Nope, he got a courtesy car, and a pay out for the mini after it was written off.
