Heard an interesting story today...
There's a nice Wedding Venue at a place called Le-Talbooth in Dedham on the Essex/Suffolk border, which is the village where Frank Lampard Snr lives.
Anyway,
a friend of a friend had been invited to a wedding on a certain date next year. However, soon after responding to the invite they got a response saying the wedding date was now uncertain.
Le-Talbooth had contacted the couple in question- and they requested that the couple moved the date of their wedding if the venue paid the drinks bill. They declined saying the date was special and decided. Le-Talbooth then came back and said, please move it, we'll pay the drinks and catering. The couple again declined...
Finally..... Le-Talbooth came back to the couple and asked what was left on their mortgage!!! 
The couple told them etc, so Le-Talbooth are paying for this couple's wedding on another date, including catering and drinks, and as a gift of thanks they are paying off their mortgage!
Turn's out the original date they wanted is the date Frank Lampard & Christine Bleakley want!!!
Obviously with the money and bills paid for etc comes a 'privacy' agreement so the couple cant sell their story.
Interesting none-the-less! And the couple are very lucky!!

 Haven't seen that before. Doesn't mention this place though... Which is slightly less amazing than some of those castles etc.
Its definately happened though so its not a 'claim'

I heard the exact story but it was David beckham who wanted to hire a venue for his kids party that was already booked up. Apparently he payed for them to change the date honeymoon etc. this was a couple of years ago. I call urban legend.

The person who was telling me today said the figure of the mortgage etc. Sounded pretty realistic, and the fact Frank Lampard Senior lives in that village made it sound true enough...
