Just rang up about a refund and they've put the bookings on standby for the next 12months so next year is paid for

We had 2 families with us who had travelled 680 miles down yesterday. I felt awful when I had to confirm to them that the event was cancelled.

Yeah it was, well, i was in my socks, it was my mate who was bare footed. We found it warmer that standing around in soaking trainers

what is all of this brought back luck nonsense and not destined to go!

I would like to personally thank everyone who turned up yesterday and those who didn't, members of staff for staying onsite until they did and everyone just getting on with it.

The whole situation is terrible but its the weather and we have had a year of freaky weather so there is no surprise there.

As soon as I have any official information I will be posting it up (and I'm sure djgritt will too!)

I'm sorry about the whole situation, everything was looking really good until the weather turned sour and once again thank you to everyone who co-operated in this very strange situation!

Just made it home. Totally knackered after a 15 hour day so far. Now to sort all the wet and muddy gear!

Also echo what Willay said - unfortunately one thing that is always out of our control is the weather, but iMO the decision was the right one. Even if myself and Mike did get a little sunburnt packing everything up

I'll be contacting Billing on Monday to get a response regarding the stance on refunds etc. Especially for those who pre-booked but never made it to site.

If nothing is updated here before then, I'll post up the results of the call.

There is chat on here/facebook about Billing keeping payment for next years VBOA meet but again nothing official!
