Well nothing ever came of any of this, because after the private plate came off she decided to break on me, big style. No compression at all in cylinder 1 and 2, not had chance to get the head off yet to see whats happened - however it does look like I'll be keeping it now

It depends whats wrong with it, I'm hoping its just the head gasket or cracked head and then I'll keep it as a Sport.

If the engine is completely fubarred, then it will be needing a transplant.

I'd need everything for the conversion, including gear box but except the bigger brakes?

I'd be inclined to believe the mileage where George is involved. Doesn't dabble with shit.

Thanks guys

It came out of a cavalier Sri I bought last year and sold. Lad who bought it pulled the engine out to put in a Corsa but didn't follow through with it. So I bought the engine

All I have is the engine , loom and ecu.

Hubs wise if I was you I would get hold of some cavalier ones and have Audi 80 bearings put in they last a lot longer and are stronger than the Corsa ones. I have cavalier ones on my let Corsa b

I know what the guys are saying about the mileage but I buy and sell cavaliers. I have one that's done 54k on a H Reg no one believes that but I have every mot to prove otherwise and the clocks have never been out. Can tell by looking at the cluster

Also agree with breaking the car, not worth anything as a whole unless you are lucky. It is what it is.

Try breaking the audio first, got to be wort ha fair whack, then bumpers etc? Return to sort of standard and sell as is?

I think the way forward at the moment is to get the head off and at least establish whats actually gone wrong.

I haven't touched the car since the night it dropped the 2 cylinders so I don't actually know whats wrong with it yet.

So the Sport came out the garage today after 3 months of being stored since it went bang.

It's gone down to a friends garage to get the head off and check the damage, so hopefully by this time next week will know what the verdict is.

Gave her a quick clean to wash the dust off 🙂

I've opted not to change the engine and keep it as a Corsa Sport, even if it is completely shot.
