You're going to need drainage under that. Trench, wavincoil, clean stone.

Care to explain a bit more please?

Fence is pretty much done, just need a few gravel boards cut to size then fixed in place. Adding bracing to the back of the fence for a bit more ridgidity.

Slow, but with job and 1 year old im going as fast as i can.

2 more gravel boards to go on, then the final fence panel in place, by weekend should start cutting for the frame.

Have you considered while you have the ground up, running power out the back and putting an outdoor socket by the decking? you might not have a use for it now, but bbq's partys etc... you never know when you might want a power outlet there and its very easy cheap enough to do. I ran speaker cable all under mine and in the summer / party nights i just plug them in on my decking and they are connected back to my main sound system / iTunes media centre.

Got 2x240v sockets in the shed (well, will have once its up), got some plastic conduit from work that im going to run some power for my deck lights, will also run some speaker wire to the shed aswell, good idea!

Just picked up 8x25kg bags of gravel for £24 which i think is ok, going to use it to go behind the gravel boards as theres a gap, and also to go over the weed membrane.

Fence done. Gravel boards done. Filled the gap behing with broken up bricks then topped with gravel.

Same as last week, bucketed down all day and not due to stop til tues so nowt doing this weekend. Arse.

Just need to do the noggins and posts now. Plan is to do the main posts now, get it levelled then mark out and dig holes for other posts then fit noggins.

Cant shift the tiles so going 600mm centres on everything then going to lay the tiles alternated for a bonny pattern.

Now frame is up i can for the first time realise how big it is and how high etc. chuffed though my knees are canny fucked now.

Really liking the drill though im finding getting the torque setting right a bit of hit n miss, thinking some decent bits might stop it jumping out of the screw head? Though i am going in dry without any pilot holes.

Looking good! you need to use the right bit for the screws you are using, they might fit and do the job but there is a lot of choice, but tbh for what your doing any old bit will be fine just push harder on the drill and it won't jump, don't be shy!

The screws came with a bit, ive been pushing with all my weight on the drill while holding the frame, it was still jumping sometimes.

Probs just take getting used to.

Pilot drill the holes first. Wont jump anywhere near as much.

3/3.5 bit will do

no point in rushing a job but i wouldn't bother with pilot holes on the frame, the deck boards it is a must though otherwise they will split left right and centre!

I wouldn't do personally as id be using an impactor but if hes costantly slipping out of the screw a pilot will solve the problem

Wanted to do something tonight but bairn is ill and mrs said no power tools

So laid the b&q frame on & some tiles.

But didnt like the framing, not straight and not right length.

So chucked tht to one side and had another crack.

So now i know the frame is level and straight. Just going to screw the tiles straight to that when im done. Need a fascia for the front edge, and need an idea for the hole near the fence. I was going to make it into a planter / raised bed, but its feckin huge!

I wouldve done if i could sell them. Seems im the only idiot who would buy them. Much more faff than boards but alternated like that they look cool, only problem i can see is water run off and cleaning them.
