Rested the head on today as a trial to raise my motavation

hopefully will be fitted and timed up before the end of the week.

I got a load more done on the XE today,
Pulleys blasted and painted:

Head on:

Baffle Plate and oil pickup on:

Oil pump, water pump, cover and pulleys on:

New thermostat on:

So the point its at now:

Hopefully get the rocker cover and sump on next week and posibly the inlet.

Cheers Kyle. It will be going in my daily and i will scrap the other shell. Ive got an arden 1.0 as a temperary in the meantime while the conversion is taking place.

I got a load more bits done over the last few days. The injector rail and alternator are now on the engine. The driveshafts are stripped and the gearbox is ready to be shot blasted. Ive also removed the loom and retaped it back up nicely! So over the weekend there will be big progress hopefully!

Just give it a sand to get the worst off then etch it and spray it silver. Thats all ive done and im pleased with it. I wouldnt degrease it!

Whenever we get an alternator reconed at work it always comes back in silver pain so i cant see the sanding/painting hurting it.
