Rear lights look much better now you have modded them, good job

I think the high level brake light in the tailgate would look better in red though.

Was behind a hardtop one of these lastnight and thought the rear lights looked good, are they different to the softtop ones? didn't have any orange in

The coupes are facelift only so have different shaped rear lights.

Managed to find a clear headlight so bought that, just need to find the drivers side now.

If anyone knows of any bmw z4 clear headlights for sale please let me know.

I only need the clear part inside so doesn't matter if its broken.

clear 3rd brake light is staying clear

my black grilles seem to have not reacted well after being painted. after the rain/hailstones the paint had began to chip off around the edges, and looked shit.

so i've ordered some carbon fibre vinyl to wrap the surrounds (not the slats). unsure whether it'll look ok though so might order some matte black vinyl also.

oh and found and aero rear apron but it's £100 (in primer) so would need spraying aswell. a bit much just for a bit of plastic. and i'd need to cut the existing bumper to fit it.

You've definitely caught the modding bug with this...hence the reason I'm not signing up to a Z4 forum

If your doing the front lights you need to do the back imo.

i know, i need to stop really as have better things to buy

i haven't bought that rear apron yet anyway as i'm not sure whether i like it.

the rear lights are staying as they are now. facelift rear lights require a new bumper and some re-wiring to work. would rather just get a facelift if i ever have the cash.

update: carbon fibre wrap.

ever since i got the car, the scratches on the centre console plastics have annoyed me. ideally i'd like to have them sprayed gloss black, but i would end up scratching that also.

i had a carbon fibre centre console in my focus and always liked the look so decided to wrap these to make it look less tatty.

please note i still need to do the outside bit, but haven't worked out how to remove it yet.

see scratches here:

half done:

finished:

i know it's not to everyones tastes but i like it and it covers up unsightly bits.

That looks great. I usually hate the stuff but seen as some bmws come with it from factory it's not too bad. My 330 has it and is all scratched, i may end up redoing it myself with this, where did you get it from?

bought some before and it seems to last and sticks well.

cheap enough just to test it out anyway.

ok it's done:

it was a complete and utter twat to do the last bit so it'll be staying like this.

i was going to do the brushed aluminium bits too but i thought that would be too much.

note the lid cover at the front will probably be coming off as it looks weird.

i might try and wrap the whole surround as it just pops out. can always rip it off if i don't like the look of it i suppose.

wrapped the whole surround today, that'll be it i think. don't want to overdo it.

and for anyone who thinks it looks tacky, the z4m has a carbon leather dash, which has a matte look just like the vinyl.

I was going to but then my battery died with tue roof down and ended up forgetting.

The gaitor is easy to pull of though so will get it hoovered up if it ever decides to stop raining here
