Yes, but you won't notice that after a week with brake dust on them.

I don't want them black, end of. Stop going on about it

Silver calipers would have looked a million times better

Wheels - you've acid etched the wheel Either it was hot from driving recently? Or in the sun and baked on. Powdercoated or poorly repaired wheels tend to be the worst for this.

(and yes I'm fully aware these were done at Lepsons before you start!)

Cheers rich. Iirc it was hot the day I washed them, although it was evening when I actually put the product on.

Shall I get them re-powdercoated or sprayed? Would it cost more to get another powdercoat job? As i'm guessing they will need to be sandblasted first.

I personally prefer the look / finish of a sprayed wheel opposed to a powdercoated one - even though most people on here seem to prefer the opposite

But yes either way they'd be sand / bead blasted or acid dipped to take them back to bare metal and built back up from there.

I might just sack them off in favour of anthacite 18'' csl reps, as per the pic at the bottom of page 17.

dinky red calipers just seem to highlight the small looking brakes

I know they are standard, but what size are they? 18" wheels?

They stick out so much now and looks really bad against the tango indicators.

Watch out when you're buying those reps. The ones the bm guys get are pretty expensive and look much better, most on ebay are too cheap looking. Im wanting new wheels for my car and iv been looking at them but for the price for the decent ones you may aswell look for some genuine second hand wheels tbh.

well that was easy

aux in installed. this isn't the factory one as that was over £50 which for one lead is a joke, so paid £20 for this one.

theres a panel that pops out underneath the heater controls and i was going to mount it in that, but it would require drilling a hole so decided not to.

instead i routed it through to the ash tray.

i still need to mount it though, but i have this little cone thing which clipped in that hole previously, needs cutting down though.

as you can see, i need to clean the interior

I made my own for my Z4, I think the parts from Maplin cost me about £6. Assume the Mini would have similar requirements.

i bought this one:

http://www.incartunes.co.uk/pc7-bmw-01-aux-in-adaptor-580-p.asp

i added the circuit board aswell. cost me £20.99 and came next day.

you can make them but i wouldn't know where to start

just went out and tided it up a bit. added my aux lead and decided to hide the jack instead. the ashtray makes a nice holder for my phone.

finally got round to fixing my gearstick surround this weekend.

it was snapped when i bought it and managed to find a cheap replacement on bmminiparts.com but i never bothered fitting it as it's a ballache to remove.

ben j will be pleased to know i hoovered up the crap that was underneath the centre console:

i also removed the carbon wrap from everything as it was starting to come loose from the heat we've had. i think i'm going to be sending the bits off to Tom@Lemass in the future as i wan't them either gloss black or sterling grey (car colour).

and hoovered up inside, looks nice now.
