Starting drilling out the pop rivets in the rear quarter and welded them up, grinded down all the filler from where the bodykit was smoothed in and then filled again ready for when i do the bodywork.

Welded up:

Grinded Down:

Filled:

Headlights in:

Then decided to start my bad boy bonnet while i had the welder out

One sided welded:

Other side:

And both all welded:

Need to get the filler out now

I used to want it but wanted it with different bumpers and the rear vent in quarters removed and smoothed so it was just wide arches. But that was years ago

I put the first layer of filler on the bonnet today and started my semi smooth boot. First i welded in a plate for the boot popper to go on. Then fitted it and made sure it was working. As i have dewipered the boot i then traced the wire for it so i didnt have to feed new ones down the boot. Heres pics:

Plate welded:

Boot popper fitted:

Wired up:

Wires traced and pulled out of plug:

Spent 2 hours today fitting my new speedo cable. The old one was snapped at gearbox end and had like 1ft of cable and previous owner had pulled the other half out from under the dash which was a nightmare as i couldnt find out where to route the cable. Its all in now, didnt much point of a pic as quite boring tbh lol

Seems theres been a few people playing with this corsa, the brake resevoir cap was like a milk bottle cap with clingfilm holding it on when i got it

not much of a update but trying to get rid of the rot / rust. Cut out the rotten part of the bottom of the wing and welded a plate in. Also rust treated the drivers side wheel well and undersealed it but forgot to take pics.

Plate welded in:

Well i haven't updated this in a while...

Boots been filled
Bad boy bonnets filled
Filled all the lines where the bodykit was

Then i got it insured and the water pump failed

So a new water pump, timing belt and aux belt it was running good again.

Then the engine management light came on with code 15 so sorted that.

Got the whole car into primer and the the gf's midwife appointment was the next day. So just took it out the garage for now so i can drive it.

Drove 100 miles and gearbox failed. Crunching through every gear non stop.

So into the father in laws garage and took the box off and realised i had bought the wrong box. Then got a 5 speed box no more 4 gears

I put a new clutch in aswell while it was off.

More problems

Had to get a electric speedo, as my clocks were cable before. So ive now got a rev counter and a electric speedo fitted and working

Got a new air filter on it aswell.

Heres pics:

New water pump

Just out the garage

Gearbox

Running again

All the wheels are black now, more to come soon
