I know a few of you on here are into training, I've just started at the gym and looking to get some protein shakes and possibly bars in.

Where's the cheapest place online for Vyomax and BSN synth 6?

My protein is good for supplements.

Just get one with a reasonably high protein percentage.

Don't bother your arse with the bars. Try get most of your protein through your diet. Chicken, fish, meat, eggs, beans etc...

Good clean diet with no simply carbs like soft drinks, white breads and pastas. Train like fuck and gains will be had.

Hope this helps!

Cheers McWillster
Unfortunately Bread and soft drinks are my downfall

I've managed to switch from normal Coke (3 cans per day) to Coke Zero (1 can per day at most).
I have reduced my bread intake and bread I do consume is wholemeal or granary.
Also I'm only have 1 egg yolk in omelette or scrambled eggs.

Luckily I love Tuna, Chicken, Eggs and Beans.
My Cousin is a personal trainer so he's knocking my a diet plan up, Unfortunatly he's moving to Australia the end of the month so he won't be able to train me

I've heard the BSN Syntha 6 is one of the nicer tasting shakes to fancy trying that. I've had the Vyomax and can stomach that so will get that again for the gym.

How long have you been on 3 cokes a day....... I hardly imagine that's been helping with things

Well I wouldn't say every day. Most days I wouldn't touch it then buy a 6 pack and consume it within a few days.

I can go weeks without touching any.

Now I might take one Coke Zero to work with me and 1 litre of water.
The worst part of my diet was far too many portions of chips and white bread. I'd normally have 5 portions of chips per week and 6-8 rounds of white bread per day

My Cousin has really opened my eyes, He's given me a GI index so I can see what's fast and slow burning foods. There are some surprising things on there.
He's even got me drinking green tea

I'm gradually getting off the crap foods i'd consume every day.

Have a ganders over google. Type in something like a diet plan for bodybuilding or something Along those lines. Helped me out loads when I was starting out.

I wouldn't recommend changed your diet straight away in one day. I'd do it over a few weeks to work your self into it. You then won't crave the things you love as often.

Need to try cut out the soft drinks altogether mate. Honestly after you stick with a diet for a couple weeks, you won't believe the energy you have.

Problem with simple carbs is blood sugar spikes. When your sugar levels crash you feel hungry again. Don't get that with protein and whole meal shit!

As for supplements. I would also suggest Creatine. Take a scoop with a glass of fresh juice everyday. Strength gains were noticeable after a few weeks. I bought MyProtein's own creapure. Good quality shit man!

Used to be like that myself. I lost a load of weight when I gave up bread and coke when I started cycling.

Had a small relapse recently but will get back on track

BCAAs are a load of BS. Don't waste your money on them.

Not discrediting anything you're saying Kieran, but BCAAs are just pre-digested proteins. You'll get more than enough protein from a good quality whey and through your diet.

Depends on what your goals are?

If your a fat cunt like me on a cut then all carbs are bad.

But for building muscle then your good with wholegrain foods like brown bread, borwn rice etc...

Iv started using my proteins impact whey protein, tastes ok and can have it with milk or water. Only needs 150-250ml of liquid aswell so not a massive amount to drink.
Iv cut my alcohol intake down, and have 1 wholemeal sandwich after the gym each day and thats my only bread i take. Never really drink coke unless with vodka and I take diet

I wonder say i'm a fat cunt, I weigh 14.7 stone and i'm 6'. My main problem is I have a bit of a gut.
I've just asked my cousin, He said creatine is not advised unless you want to bulk up as it's high in water retention.
I might try that was i've trimmed down a bit.

Just spoke to my cousin, he said creatine makes you looks bloated.
Apparently Kre-alkalyn is better.

So your goal is to lose weight and tone up? Not bulk and weight more but have muscle definition?

In that case Just stick to a normal low carb protein shake or get your source of protein through foods.

Creatine is a supplement that makes you look fuller because it draws water into your muscles. Also will give you last burst energy and strength to make you get the most out of your muscles to gain that little quicker.

So if I want to lose a little weight and get even faster on my bike what sort of supplements would be best for that?
