Id never heard of this until i was reading about jailbreaking apple tv so you can use it.

Ive downloaded it, installed it, set it up with my iphone as a remote, and added my films to it including setting them up with covers etc.

What else is good to do with it? What skins best? Any other pointers?

Can i install this xbmc to a nas drive and play my films to my ipad 2 or do i need xbmc installed on my the ipad ?

XBMC is essentially just a media player/library (ie: think Windows Media Centre) for a few specific OS's (OSX, Linux, Windows etc).

TFTP into ATV (user: mobile pass: alpine. port 22)

Put zip file somewhere (i stick mine in 'applications'

Goto XBMC Settings > addons > from zip file > install anarchintosh.zip > come back out > goto Get Add-ons > Anarchintosh > ice films >job done. It'll be in your video>addons

After a few fuck ups, i managed to get that icefilms installed! Very smart!

Need to sort a skin now

What's the score with xbmc and ice films on apple tv?

Am I right in thinking jailbreak atv install xbmc then I can use ice films all from within atv box? Don't need anything else plugged into it or a server etc?
