I couldn't resist, was trying not to buy myself anything, but ended up buying the lego supercar for xmas, i will wrap it up and put it under the tree to me from santa, then i can make it xmas day while all the family talk and stuff.

So hard to choose between the kits, wanted all of them.

SUPERCAR
http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Supercar-8070

UNIMOG
http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Mercedes-Benz-Unimog-U-400-8110

EXCAVATOR
http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Motorized-Excavator-8043

Think i will build the car and the b model, then sell it in the new year and then buy the other two and do the same.

The Bulldozer kit i bought, i sold for more than i bought it for. Crazy how lego prices change when they out of stock from lego. The £76 crane they just sold out is £150 on amazon now

There's a guy I know of who bought the number plate LE60 MAN, but his car is too old to wear it.

He buys lego every day

Still amazed by the price of some plastic blocks, are you just paying for the blueprints I wonder.

A group obviously just has a bag of Lego and makes things that then get sold, that's the idea I thought, big bag off odds and sods and see what you can create, missing out on half the fun just following instructions.

Merc is cool

Supercar isn't a v10 or v12 in the rear ! V8 in the front, american !

And less than £100. Is it a cat c? You should relocate the battery.

Problem with Technics and Lego is too many custom parts; it's not like the 'old school' days of having to build things out of rectangle blocks.

Although the Unimog is pretty cool, likewise the Space Shuttle...

you do get the odd custom panel for the exterior, mainly to get the look right.

But all the chassis parts and moving bits etc are usually standard lego bits

i might work out how to redesign it into a corrado using the brick selector

Supercar looks cool tbh, mechano was cool too.

If supercar was cheaper id probably get one just for the shelf. But it also looks unfinished

well the youngest person at xmas is my sister who is about 27yrs old now

Nan is nearly 90yrs old so a bit quiet, my uncle is mostly deaf and still lives at home with nan.

Bought my brother and sister some lego too, so they can join in.

after xmas dinner everyone just seems to sit around falling asleep these days, i usually bugger off shortly after getting presents anyway.
