What is IceFilms?
And what files can you play with XBMC installed? Can it handle .iso files?

Its so much more

It streams media and you have a handful of plugins to deal with online streaming; it doesn't really do much more than that (unless you're including the crud like game/emulator/weather plugins).
And client-wise you're better off with Plex as the performance is a lot better than XBMC.

When i was lending a hand with a mates ATV2 we had to bodge iso (full menu rips didn't work) support by using a FTP server and even then we had stuttering issues. Also from what i remember, the ATV2 will handle 1080p (h264's, anything else and video will stutter) video but is unable to output 1080p due to design/hardware limitation; instead it downscales to 720p.

Dunno about either of them, but if you watch a lot of films its a worthwhile investment.

And can you boot into normal AppleTV as well as XBMC? I want to Airplay my iPad2 and iPhone 4S as well as use it as a media streamer!
