Was thinkin 1.6 8v turbo, just finding an engine is rather difficult

It needs welded underneath, the brakes need done has an oil leak which i never knew about :/ and its over heating

Also needs painted and the windscreen put in correctly and sealed

Not really worth it on a 400 quid car

Update: the engine has decided to give up the ghost (well not yet but its getting there) was out checking the oil and coolant levels today, checked undr the oil cap and its full of cream and so is the rocker cover breather pipe (to the extent its blocked) so head gasket is on its way out,

Problem 2- was driving home from work tonight and the top end starts randomly rattling like mad, it always had a rattle but not this bad

Not to worry tho as ive already acquired a 1.4 16v engine for it pick it up on sunday so will have an update then

do the plugs on the wiring loom that u are putting into the new ecu match the coloured ends on the ecu ? if not the pins will be different and wont work.

like it could be cream and red ?? or green and red etc they need to match the bits on the ecu . i had this problem i bought a new ecu as mine died and the original one was red and cream and i bought a red and white one. could hardly tell the difference as the white was abit discoloured lol
