Well the latest thing round my are is:

*use a switch to toggle on and off the spark goin to the sparks in engine

*Use a second toggle for spark in zaust

*when drivin, turn spark in engine off, but light up spark in zaust

---->leads to: pure fuel vapour flowin thru into zaust and a flame that u can choose the size of (ie: how much u u press the accelerator while the spark is off). Sounds dangerous......well yeah but the results are amazing......

1.2 8v corsa's goin round with flames that a scooby ownerwud b proud of!

Hmmm i got mixed opinions..........

i've been offered to have it done, including decat pipe welded in for £100. There has never been any bad stories with this conversion done, and i'm tellin ya, its been done on bout 30 cars + where i live. half of em r corsas. (yes, including people with 1.6 16v and even valvers!)

I've got a full kitted corsa, and i think small licks of flames at the lights etc b4 a race wudnt look too bad, but then again on a std corsa, it wud look crap!

I mean why not let a 1.2 have flames?? Its not like they are tryin to prove that they got a big engine or anything by doin that...........? just kinda showing off. And as we all know, thats a massive part of car modding in general.

So one of u guys.........let us no why its such a crap idea. (preferably without swearing this time! )

cheers

ok then, sitting at the lights with flames licking out of the exhaust, bumper melting, lights go green, CTR and Focus RS zoom off down the road, whilst the Corsa 1.2 struggles to get out of reverse.

u wot mate?? Reverse at the lights?? Definately aint gonna win that way!!

I dont think many ppl have got a 1.2 8v for racing anyways......and u definately wudnt try against a CTR! when i say sittin at the lights, i dont mean with a constant flame pourin out the back. that wud b dumb. Just an occasional lick out the back, on the way back down from a high rev (just like a turbo car wud)............i definately dont reckon that wud b OTT.

Plus, if u say, went down southend/yarmouth etc and just gently flamed up, (not racing or anything at all), who's gonna no its a 1.2?? Probably even think it was a c20LET or XE under there. As long as u dont try cainin against others, no1 wud no!! I can tell ya for fact, there is no way u cud tell that my mate's got a tuned 20XE in his corsa just by sound of his zaust etc!

but i c ur point, over doin it wud melt ur bumper, waste fuel and look stupid, but i mean u'd have to be an idiot to do that anyway.

Matt

If it does'nt do it by itself don't bother.

Patrick's Corsa flames on its own, as does Rob Hagger's and James Hans Puntos.

In a 1.2, you might as well be in reverse, since they aint going nowhere in a hurry.

in fact, being in reverse in a 1.2 WILL get you to your destination quicker.

oh ok then. I'll let you off. BTW, get at least a 1.4 16v. Preferably a 1.6 GSi/Sport. Its not expensive if you shop around for insurance.
