Don't see the point in them myself. If I was bothered about buffeting is have purchased a coupe or put the roof up

Had one in one of our familys E36's

As said. I just dont get it, the sensation of the wind does not bother me, its a plus point (up untill a point obviously)

I dont see the point in a push button unless you dont have to turn the ignition on. It just works when you put the key in or keyless start.

Think it will wear thin.

i remember letting my mum drive the s2000 for the first time (and last...) she nearly snapped the key in the ignition she was turning it that much to get it to start...

It really wont. With my alarm/ignition/SMG combo. A button will be far nicer. Plus it removes the ugly and useless cig lighter.

People do that in ours too.

Looks a pretty snug fit.

Will you still be able to start the car by key or can you disable that?

This is incorporating the key. Its so it is reversible and gives me the option to start with either.

With the SMG it some times can take a few seconds to notice your foot is on the brake, if the car is in neutral or the pump might still be priming. All in all a few seconds with your hand held waiting for the car to fire is a major pain. Plus get the alarm unlock wrong and you have to back cycle the key back to POS1 then forward to engage starter. This now totally negates that happening. So haters can hate, but for my car this will be a godsend!

Its a perfect fit, I drilled channels for the original slats to guide into, so fits perfect and it utilises the original spring loaded clip to hold it in place. Was fiddly to do though.

Push button in my FN2 Civic was a PITA tbh, as you'd already used up the effort to put the key in the ignition

Start button and aerial look good! Not sure I see the point in the button though if you still need to put the key in first?

Never understood push button start after putting a key in the ignition.

Keyless start is the only way it should be. Keep key in pocket so no keys jingling about, foot on the clutch and press start.

Plus there are plenty of factory cars with this system. Totally get it if you wouldn't want it personally, I wouldn't bother with the hassle personally if it wasn't for the annoying issues this particular care has.

If you look at begining of my journal Robin, you will see I tried and failed! Needs an external circuit to work. Proper ballache for small reward. Plus this looks better IMO, sits flush in the aperture whereas the E90 was massive......
