cheers guys. its not the tidiest GSI ever. it needs work to the passanger door and the boot has dints in where the previous owner had people push him when he broke down.

i got the shell pretty much for free. the lad that owned it bought it with a redtop in that had a snapped drive shaft and a poorly running engine.

anyway after a few laughts and jokes (and beer) i suggested i put the engine in another car for him and take the gsi shell as payment. he agreed to my surprise. lol.

unfortunately it was owned by a boy racer who did stupid stuff like poorly fit cav front leathers and some daft lockwood dials that made the speedo stick.

will upload more photos soon hopefully.

Surprisingly they're better on fuel that my 1.6HDi Partner, that returns around 50mpg average.

if im honest. there is no way i would ever do another one because of the amount of hastle you have to go through with the rear exhuast manifold. luckily for me work have a TIG welder so i could jus take it to work and modify it then try it. was the most pain in the arse ever. will try and get a decent pic of it next time time i go up.

going on holiday on monday so pregress will probably stop agter saturday but i aim to get it movin by then and post a video. just hope the gearbox holds out.

Are you running an f20 or f28? I went through three f20 boxes in a year. I wish I'd spent the extra on an f28 now.
