Alright, while we wait for Hammer, answer this.

In Batman Returns we see a lonely nerdy looser of woman being killed, but as her cats start eating her she is resurrected and turns in to Catwoman.

In level of lameness, what in any of Nolan's films scores as high as this?

What kind of a weirdo are you?

What do you mean you could not 'get on' with any of them?

What films do you get on with? Transformers by any chance?

Same character, different actor - pissed me right off in The Dark Knight; should have removed the character completely.

Seriously though, Begins was too strange for me. Maybe I need to watch it again.

The films went downhill after Batman.

Returns and anything afterwards was just awful.

The best scene was Jack Nicholson dancing to Prince in the museum:

Not nearly on par with the super hero created by being eaten by cats!

Rachel being recast is very unfortunate, however it came out for the better as Katie Holmes really was piss poor in Begins. Gyllenhall delivers a much more compelling performance and comes across as much more adult.

As Rachel's a pretty central role in TDK, what would you have Nolan do? Retype the screen play when Holmes turned out to be unavailable? Not a chance! He's not Michael Bay, after all.

It's a handicap that is treated in the best possible way. By ignoring it.

Do you lot choose what films you want to see based on who has directed it? I get the feeling you do

Not entirely, but as it's impossible for me to find the time to watch every film made, I do keep an eye out for who wrote and directed it.

I would never, however, choose a film based on who's got the lead role.

Who has written and directed a movie will tell a lot more about the amount of work put in to it, than a trailer or poster can.

Also, I do have a few favourite directors and screen play writers, where I will strive to see everything they make.

Did you notice that during the last two scenes - "I think I forgot my ticket" and "Don't worry Mr. Wayne, it takes time to get back into the swing of things" that Bruce appears to walk with a bit of a limp? And in the car scene he has his hand resting on something, like a walking stick? Bane vs Batman scene will be amazing

Think this was one of the very early images released:

So not much doubt about the walking stick.

I always wondered if the joker was meant to be in the final installment, obviously being absent after Ledger's death.

It was never fully intended to be a trilogy hence Nolan making Inception first, even though Warner Bros wanted a TDK follow up.

To me, it seems unlikely that the Joker would have played a big role, if even been present, in Rises. Nolan is very mindful of not doing things too similarly to how he's done them before. Look how fast he killed of Scarecrow at the start of TDK! It was a loose end from Begins that was tied up swiftly.

I remember in the very early stages of Rises it was rumored that Depp or DiCaprio would play the Riddler. This turned out to be wishful thinking from WB and was turned down by Nolan as he wanted a completely different villain.
