Little bit more of an update, Got a good few bits done. More to the engine than the car.

Pics........

Stuck the fuel cap on to see what it looked like, I like it

Then set about cleaning the engine

Finally after hours of cleaning i got the paint out, Went for matte black for the block. Thought if there is a leak it would be easier to see(thats the plan anyway lol) Also got all the timing covers painted up.

Then fitted my new timing belt and tensioners before putting covers back on then decided to stick exhaust on to make it look a bit better lol

Couldn't do any more to the engine for now (waiting on bits from vauxhall) So i finished plumbing in the brake lines and got the stub axels back from my brother, He took them to his work an cleaned them up for me

And last but not least got a lot of my bits chucked in the van an took them down to be powder coated

Thats it for now guys. As always al update anymore i get done

Yet another update

Finally got the new head for the little 1.6 from Joe of here, Cheers Joe
Got right in about stripping it down and regrinding the valves along with new stem seals, Get that done then its away to be pressure tested an checked to see if it needs skimmed.

Before

After

All the black suit has been cleaned of, Just forgot to take pics

Picked up a lot of my new bits just ready for fitting. Need to rip out all the wiring in the bay to wrap it in loom tape before fitting the engine, Get rid of all the plastic wiring cover thats there just now.

Also got a phone call today to say all my powder coated bits are ready so will be picking them up on monday. Now need to strip the front hubs and drive shafts to get them powder coated next.

Cheers for looking guys

Cheers eck

The mini is the wifes car although i prob use it more than she does
The veccy doesn't look like that anymore, The wheels are no longer on it. There is a guy with another black estate meant to be buying them, If not then there up for sale. Want a wee change of looks for the estate so the standard 17s are back on it for now

Will sort the veccy out once the corsa an mini are finished

Not a massive update bud loads of work went into it. Ma hands are sticky as hell rippin all the old wiring and plastic coverings off.

All wrapped in loom tape now and stuck in its new position, Even put the reverse swith plug into the light loom so its not running over the engine.

Thermostat temp switches now running down chassis leg instead of over the engine

The light loom complete

The reverse switch now comes out from the rad fan plug, So much neater

Just another couple pics for good luck hehe

Getting much closer to the engine going back in. Got a bit more cleaning to do, Few bits to buy then should be good for engine in.
