Probably because there's more power from a standard LET.

No, still not clear on what bits I need.

Spoke to Beardy yesterday as he used on in his LET Combo, says the F23 is already used in the Combo so you can use OE parts but there's a few different versions of it and it's no good getting the wrong one.

Also need to know how many nuts the hubs are having so I can organise wheels.

Need a proper shopping list really, preferably of suitable cars so I can find them and offset the cost of the bits.

That looks ideal, hopefully it wont go for much due to the odd bits and it being a write off, you should make a fair bit breaking it too.

Can't you use a old 8v engine on carbs, not much wiring to worry about.

Or 8v big block?

you want of a astra 2.2:

Engine with loom all coolant pipes etc
Radaitor
Gearbox
Driveshafts
Part loom ecu to body
Immbo ring and transponder chips + ECU
Down pipe/part of exhaust
front brakes

What you need:
2.0 coversion hubs
1.7 Diesel mounts (can get part number)
to get the brakes to fit you need meriva carriers
then just the job of rewiring it

That doesn't sound too hard tbf.

Not saying I could do it or anything, but sounds like it's a case of basically the engine and anything attached to it, then a couple of off the shelf conversion/standard parts to get it in.

It's in the fridge with my spare 206 till we have the time/space.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
