Sure it was Tdi and not Sd? tdi90 90bhp turbo vs 60bhp N/a could be quite close due to golfs weighing alot. My 1.6 sport was good to play with bigger cars, much prefer my mk4 golf tdi130 though!

yeah, 80bhp from the factory, mines got 140k on it and still going strong. as mentioned above, a 4-2-1 manifold is supposed to make a big difference on these little engines.

The new VXR corsa would scare an M3 driver! power to wieght ratio etc....

Tints are staying, may even get an ultra light smoke on the fronts. Colour coded bumpers are staying, well, the front one has been changed, but is still colour coded.

As much as I would like it being OEM, I prefer the OEM+ look and will be doing that as well as tidying it up. The rear chassis legs are solid and the front's have already been repaired properly, tested with the car being jacked up on the chassis legs and no distortion what so ever.

I removed the original front bumper:

and did a little waxoiling:

and then fitted this bumper to her:

I also replaced the four standard exhaust hangers with these:

Also, fitted a set of HID's to her, no pics as yet, but I am sure you know what the difference will be like

Always loved the sri 8 valve. was my first, which often got ragged from cold and never changed the oil or filter in its entire ownership :S , Only problem i ever had was noisy tappets, which i 'fixed' by fitting an induction kit and a really loud stereo... those where the days

rust was relentless on it though
