Yes but at the end of all this he will have a VERY capable road car that will decimate most in nearly all road conditions.

I'm undecided whether to use the antilag on my ECU.

I'll give it a try and see if there are any real performance gains (less boost drop etc) - but wont activate it purely for the bang bang bang

what ECU do you run AK? a few people state they notice quite a difference in gear changes etc, some people are saying on lightly tuned cars its not even really noticeable. also on the road most people saying they can only run it for periods of around 15-20 secs before temps get massively high

yes, i have to be honest even before it went in i guess the previous owner had some pops and bangs mapped in because the noise it made on overun was like war

I've swapped my PowerFC for a SimTek.

Not really sure why - mostly for the ability to run multiple maps at the flick of a switch. (race fuel etc)

I dont doubt they are a brilliant engine. I'm just not a fan. Changing the spark plugs on my old one was a nightmare! Would have been easier to drop the engine down!

with the right legth sockets etc it isnt that bad Not on top of the engine easy, but 30mins easy peasy

Took me slightly longer than that, bruised knuckles and a lot of swearing.

That alone put me off them.

no idea....

dont drive it on the road, and havent driven it with the simtek

Its an ECU - so to me all down to who or how its mapped.
