No cover over the pollen filter, that plastic shield is it.

No point in removing the wings anyway..

Get cracking though, I would'a had that engine out and the new one in by now.

Engine in, coolant pipe issues :/ looking at the diagram Jamie-c posted on page 4, my cooling pipes don't seem to match.

Thermostat to rad top
Rad bottom to water gallery under inlet
Rad to expansion bottle
One of the coolant gallery to bottom of expansion bottle
This has a T piece in the pipe and a little pipe going to the top of the expansion bottle
Coolant gallery to the pass side heater matrix bit
Cylinder head, just above gearbox bell housing, to idle control valve then onto inlet mani
Coolant gallery to water pump/ inlet mani (3 way thing)

But the second heater matrix bit has no where to go, can anyone help out please!!??

Bit of a crap picture but..

Going from left to right i had:
Radiator top hose to thermostat
Alternator end of the water bar to the inlet
Drivers side outlet of the water bar to heater matrix
Bottom of header tank to 2nd outlet on water bar
2nd heater matrix pipe to the outlet on the head above the gearbox bell housing
Radiator bottom hose (large one) to the water bar
Top hose (thin one) to header tank

Theres also a hose not shown on the pic that come from the drivers side of the engine that has to be extended to the 2nd inlet on the header tank. I think it comes from the 3 way pipe at the alternator end of the water pipe.

Note:This is just how i had it and may not be the same as what other people suggest but it worked for me and caused me no problems. I still had heaters and no cooling issues. The only issue i did have was the pipe from the water bar to the heater matrix rubbing on the inlet and eventually leaking. In the silicon coolant kits they come with a hose with a horse shoe shape in the middle to get round that problem.

cheers jibjob, kinda helpful anyway!!

this is my rear water rail, only one outlet at the back but has one further round anyway.

its this one that i'm struggling with, everywhere ive seen so far the blank one above goes to the passenger side of the cylinder head but that one on mine goes to here

this pipe comes from the water rail, to the bottom of expansion bottle with a T piece in the middle and a little pipe to the top of the expansion bottle

Also extended the fuel lines with some off a 16/16 tigra
