however as I pointed out it is 200kg lighter. lose 200kg in the punto and it will beat a R5. as for tunning possiblities well yes the block of the R5 seems better but then you have to change everything elese in the engine. pistons, conrods, crank, head turbo etc etc. also the boost pressure is not haved. the R5 does not peak as high as the Punto. remember the Punto prodices more power with roughly the same boost.

the 5 has a standard boost pressure of 10.3psi at the the carb top

No it runs 10.35643356psi actually, and when it rains and is 14c its 10.374353543psi

Your argument is saying that

car a: 120hp at 10psi
is better than car b: 130hp at 16psi

How would that compare to a drag engine

Car a: 120hp at 10psi
Car b(drag) 4000hp at 6psi

ooo, car a is bag of shit because the turbo has a different flow map

weight/drag cars run not on petrol and their engines are huge compared to normal cars

the punto gt and r5 have same size of engine

its better cos the r5 is more tunable than a punto gt

no, R5 are cheaper, more available and so more people want to tune them since there are more of them. Because there are more around doesnt imply they are more tunable. Sssshhhh little boy.

i know a few people who have gt puntos
1 in which has had hybrid turbo/ chipped/ exhaust/cams kand n no where near 200 and the 5 IS more tunable
