Cheers people, im keeping both sets of wheels so i can cahange them as i like.

sam the LET is now my mates hes gotta rebuild the engine again then he's selling it on, it owed me about 4.5k by the time id finished but it let go on me again so i took a huge loss on it and sold it my mate.

WOW The corsa was unbelievable at the track day last week end even in the wet. Loads of cars stacked it into the armco but i kept it together and had a great day. Surpirsed alot of peole with what my corsa could do

Only had a couple of arse out scares considering lol, unfortunatly broke a c.v right near the end of the day but not fussed about that, got towed home as i live 5 mins from mallory lol.

Yep unfortunatly smashed it up on my 2nd trackday at mallory, its a shame cus we were absoltley flying

Basically i was following a car into a fast corner at like 90ish as it flicked up some stones which tinged off my car bar 1 or 2 which somehow managed to jam inside the outer wheel and calliper. This sudden reduce of speed pulled the car left and onto the grass and at that speed i had no chance of stopping. Hit the tire wall at about 80 which felt really hard.

Got out and it look like this



Heres the wheel, you can see the mark the stones left:



Once it was back in the paddock the damage didnt look to bad although looking very sorry for itself:





Anyway the car will be back, i stripped the front down and me and the old boy got to work.



Suspension wise all it broke was lower ball joint and lower arm. The main damage is the sill/lower door post. The front panel bent back a bit but luckily for me my old mans been repairing write offs for years, he pulled the front panel back to normal



Works in progress and the car will be out again some time soon with improvements I hope to be doing a few sessions at total vauxhall live, castle combe.

Having been a passenger in an off at Mallory I know it's fairly unforgiving.

Glad everyone is OK and you're going for a fix. Hope to see it at TVL if not before.

i always tell people that silly small gaps between caliper and wheel are dangerous, im usually told im being a stupid cunt

unlucky crash though hope its repaired soon

when i fitted my v6 brakes to my car i joked to my dad that i hoped i didn't get a stone between the wheel and caliper, looks like it can really happen!

Yea we were both fine, sore the next day but fine lol.

While its being repaired its a good excuse to do some lil bits and bobs So ordered myself a nice shiny ally rad



Its the tx autosport 1's im really happy with it, more progress soon.

Bit of progress to report then people. Weve pulled the bottom of the door post out to not far from what it sould be. Started to trim away the sill. Decided were going to replace the whole of the front of the sill and lower part of door post:



So it was off to the scrapy to cut a section off, found the best 1, nice and solid



Need to get a new straight door now to ensure the bottom hinge is in the corect position, more progress soon

Been buying new bits ready for the rebuild.

Got this lot so far:

Stumpy plates
80mm studs and blue aluminum nut kit
Bonnet pins
bonnet hooks
antil roll bar polly bushes

Gotta love bank holiday weekends for time to do bits and bobs

Fitted my studs, and test fitted a wheel to see how they looked



Cleaned down, wire brushed and 'kurust' ed the shell underneath to protect from rust, to be later waxoiled



Painted my anti roll bars and engine bay stabilisers orange to match my cage




Removed the passenger bucket and trim to roll back the carpet, ready for my dad to start welding the new sill in.



Finally i test fitted my new ally rad in place, as i was worried about clearence on the bigger manifold, but it goes in nicely

Fairplay.

I should of got the blue nuts aswell.

Is that BTB Type C? Mines got loads of room, almost better than the GM item.
