yep, not really a big 1 as ive been busy with work but slow progress is going on.

Firstly i fitted my new rack along with the solid mounts, really impressed with these fit so well and clam the rack perfectly.

Then i dropped the engine back in on to its mounts

Thread locked all the mount bolts, connected up most the electrics, re connected up fuel pipes etc etc. here it is up to now

Sent the entry fee and payment off to time attack as this friday is the deadline. A nice £1850

Bought a new harness for the drivers side to keep the scrutineers happy (old 1's were looking tatty) and also a spare pair of DS2500's for the front just incase.

Also bought a brand new set of 888's so ive got plenty to go at, and 2 R1r's to use as spares in the wet. Came with free digital tire guage which is always a bonus

Thats it for now, got some time off work next week so it should be about ready . Fast show this weekend though in the s14

cheers guys.

Nice update tonight then lads to bring you up to date.

Firstly looking back at the thread i missed out that i put and new luk clutch plate and release bearing in (used original pressure plate which is up-rated)

Work carried on on the rear wheel well removal/diffuser, heres a few pics of it all welded up

I then ground the welds back and seam sealed them ready for painting

Painted the under side black

Then the fun bit began, getting the diffuser to fit. First i removed the centre fins and monified the curve of the diffuser to be the same as the rear bumper. Then placed in and determined how far to sit it out of the panel for once the rear bumper had been fit.

Once happy with that i then re riveted the centre fins back in to the new place (to the edge of the new curve) I then drilled and fixed the diffuser really well so there would be no vibrating noise under high winds. Oh and also painted the rear panel, really happy with how it was sitting

Next came trimming the bumper to make it fit, this took ages taking a bit of at at time until i was happy.

Was worth all the pissing about though, looks amazing

so happy with how it turned out. More to come, my chinqy just turned up lol

diffuser looks good but its going to have to be much deeper and stick out further if you want it to really do anything.

its been a topic of conversation on the vx forum for months if not years, basically the fins need to be neigh on touching the floor, more fins the better and stick out about 12" from the body work then it will start to work and thats on a flat body car.. ive no idea what would be needed when the floor is open like on a corsa.

Right just to finish the update off then, bought some bits to make sure shes running her best.

Ordered some new mats. Only going to be using the front 1's, going to bolt them to the floor to prevent my feet slipping on the now bare metal

Painted the inside.

Then once that had gone off, i fixed the mats down, re fitted fire extinguiser, brake line clips and battery, ready for seats to go back in.

Thats it for now, slowely getting there

I know what your saying mate but ive only really fitted this as ive removed the wheel well and didnt want there to be a air trap on the back panel. Oh and i like the look
