Just my view of this... In my oppinion this seems pretty fishy... I reckon this guy 'mynew18s' is the guy who stole them, the reason he's so up for selling them back for £250 is he never paid £250 for them in the first place... I reckon this guy stole them - or a mate stole them and is getting this guy to flog em...
Why call yourself 'mynew18s' - why make your first post about these 18's... its so obvious to get the attention of the original owner so he can sell em back...
As someone else said - why would a genuine buyer be worried about the police?
This is well harsh - basically taking his wheels hostage and asking £250 for them to be given back... the only problem being - once he gets them back, whats to stop them doing this again!!!

if a piss take some how he knows you use this board, did you have a CS sticker on the car? or could be a member here, ask a admin nicely if they can grab the IP used, and compare it to site logs, this might show if it was another member here, or just some random guy

Sorry to here about your alloys dude.. and theres defenitly something not right about his story. I would lay money on them being yours!!! However IMO at the mo you gotta give him the benifit of the doubt cos you want your alloys and if ya piss him off to much he might not meet ya???

It don't work like that.... you couldn't track him down from his IP. There are millions of them and you don't always get the same one...
