no need to disconnect the battery to remove airbags, there is no current going through them unless the sensor triggers them to go off, but yeah probably a smashed one with dash damage from airbags

Very random indeed. And to leave the files in place. What I can't get is no wires cut nothing. More than likely once in just undone bonnet to disconnect battery.

Any body shops near by? I used to work at Fiat and the dashes on 500's were pretty expensive I remember correctly

Rang up my old work, they've not had any enqueries for a 500 dash, rough price was £350 + vat so they're not really that expensive either

Supose being Bolton they could have rang Corkills or Bauer Millet though
