I thought he did it with 630 odd? I videod it on rollers the day he went and done it at flame and thunder of whatever its called. Sure that was a 9

I don't believe he did a 9 with that power he must of done the dyno run at lower boost

nah I was there when it was on. Was back in 2010. 598 then drove to pod and ran a 9 few hours later.

Just does not seam do able , loot at lest year there was jsr racing tigra , and Ste powels tigra both 600bhp+ and they are at the 10.3/4 mark, mine and Alan's corsa both at 630ish and were at 10.6/7, all the ones who are abroad are at 700bhp and are in low 10's , I just don't believe he did a 9 with less than 600bhp even if its written on the Internet

Would you want to run your car at a dyno day in front of Total Vauxhall and a load of spectators, knowing it wasn't making anywhere near full power??

Ok if he did do it at 598bhp ,last year I know he was at around 750bhp so why was there no massive difference in times as he did a 9.8/9.9 last year ?

Its one thing to have a lot of power but to have a lot of useable power is another. I think speckys quickest times were around that power not when it had more?

Probably better to ask specky himself really but that was definitely the same day it made 598 then went to run 9s at pod for sure.

Infact I'm sure nic has done it at a dyno day where tv were there and ran his at lower boost

Must be thinking of someone else then as I remember everyone asking why there power figar was so low to what it was Ment to be and they ran it at lower boost

how much bhp can a standard block stand up to before having to strengthen it?

If you mean at rs tuning it was all fucked up due to changing down pipe with wastegate back into it and adding centre boxes etc etc for a track day the week after? Other than that will be people talking shite without a clue.

11.1 you mean, what do you mean being strengthen as mine has been with a girdle on it , but no one knows for sure what they will take there are some abroad doing 1000bhp +
