I can imagine the ride being unbearable

matt as said a number of times its staying this low (i even lowered the front 10mm today) so theres no point sorting the wing while im driving it how it is..

im sourcing to new wings, getting them painted and put in storage ready to fit when i come round to selling it.

ride is fine, been in a lot worse ride cars (that aint as low)

Ran unto problems, inner arch is about 5mm off sitting on top of the tyres on the front lol

rears come up 20mm, and front down 10mm, but rears coming back down 5/10mm..

underneath..

still could come down more im sure :/

also tested fitted the modernlines with the new ride height..

not sure what to think of them to be honest, with a kool colour sceme and spaced i think they may work..

surely that low will be pretty crap to drive, you will be stuck at the first sign of a kerb or ramp

can the front wheels actually turn?

thanks guys, fine to drive just need to watch the road a little more like any low car (well maybe a little more in this), front wheels turn fine, but catch the arch which is obvious..

thanks robin, once i know what colour sceme to go for and source some spacers then they will be going on..

Personally the wrecked wing would annoy me, to me if I'm modding a car I want it to look properly done, not have a mashed up wing with paint missing.

I'm assuming that sticker is internal? Otherwise surely the wiper would take it off

Dave, even if its external, the wiper will just go over the top of it

depends on the quality of the sticker, and its done to a very good standard, tried and tested and it doesnt come off...

stated to many times now, the wing was already bashed in when i purchased the car, that far in the tyre/wheel was outside of it when you looked down on the arch (so couldnt have lowered it like i i have and left it how it was), so the only way around it was to get a new wing or get it repaired by a bodyshop..

new, freshly painted wings will be going on at some stage (most likely when i raise it slightly to sell it) so no point doing it at this moment in time..

I know you've said about getting new wings and painting them but I would put them on straight away rather than wait until selling it, otherwise you're driving round in a car with mega lowz and mashed up wings. I know they were dented already, but now they're more dented and have paint missing

Not criticising you, just saying that if it was me I'd have the new wings on when they're ready instead of leaving them in the garage.

i know what your saying and i do agree to some degree, i like the rugged/used look of the wing, it catches loads causing the paint to flake off etc more at the moment but thats the fun of being this low, most people low there cars that low at the rear but im doing it on the front!

if they wer mint wings then yes i would have rolled and flared them properly so they dont catch, but hay it feels kinda kool being able to just bash your wing out if its catching, but as its a bolt on panel its easily to swap over..

continuing from the above, i got a similar (pointless) comment on another forum, which got a reply from another user saying..

"My mum always said if you've got nothing good to say don't say anything at all. If you don't like this car then why do people read through the thread just so they can boo-hoo and whine?

Top work buddy, if you get haters you're obviously doing it right sticker looks scweet!"

&

I'm not saying people shouldn't comment, it's just the way people word posts. If I don't agree with something I'd say 'imo I'd do this' but that sticker comment just seemed to be a bit needlessly blunt and not in a very nice tone.

It does get to me when people only post 'top work' and really good' in build threads because without any critism or difference of opinion everything would turn out the same. I just think sometimes people can't accept peoples different opinions and tastes and in their eyes it's 'wrong'.

32mm spacers anyone?

arch sits on the tyre..

peek a boo..

thinking 20/25mm front and 20mm rear, might go 25mm with rolled and pulled arches on the rear..
