Yeh I think they're cool... I honestly think the Ferrari 355 is one of the nicest looking cars out there... regardless of the power - it looks fucking amazing...

I like the idea, not a bad performing car with amazing looks and most people wouldnt know the difference.

Wannabe?? Who cares, after time, effort and money gone into it you would probably be more loyal to ferrari than the proper ferrari owners.

Go for it if you have the cash there are some great examples out there.

On Autotrader there is a Ferrari 1988 355 GTS 3.5L Engine, real ferrari I think. £16K.

if it was a typo and actually read 1998 - I doubt the 16k is the price... more likely the mileage...

Most 2nd hand 355's go for 60->70k with 15-20ish thousand miles on the clock

Also surely the insurance is cheaper for a mr2 than a ferrari... so your basically getting a ferrari looking car with only a fraction of the costs for fuel / insurance.

Sorry, the end ofmy last post was wrong, in a rush I put the wrong info down. Doesnt matter now, either way its cheaper to get a replica and unless someone looking on really knows what they are on about nobody will know the difference.

You can make it look the same, sound the same, and within legal limits drive the same, why not do it for a smaller cost.

If anyone asks, fair enough you have a replica, but a damn good one.
