well, not had much love for the car over the summer really.. umm'ing and arr'ing about what to do with her..

the standard clutch is on its way out, so i thought i may aswell upgrade if im going to have to replace it soon...

stage 3 helix paddle clutch, blittet ultra lightened flywheel will be fitted this week, MOT saturday morning and the Porsche wheels are coming off!

Weekend up trax was decent, made me think a little about practicality over looks, over the summer could see forged internals and maybe a bigger turbo, time (and money lol) will tell

billet flywheel is much lighter than the orriginal one i had and that had been machined down and lightened already!

good news ; clutch came in the post, fitted along with flywheel, box and subframe back on..

also thought it would be a good time to sort the boost pipes out as they step up and down in size a lot! i'll get some pics up in a mo..

not so good news; running issues, i'v said for the past few weeks it's not felt as quick as it first did, so warrens done some tests, compression, AFR, seems to be running rich/lean/over feuling and causing a loss in power

leaving the car with him for the night so he can have another look tomorrow, mapping could also be an issue

Pointed out i could do with a new filter.. lol

Old down and upsizing pipe worl

same size from intercooler to TB now

old piece

other old pipe work that went from the bottom of the turbo 270 degrees - unessary pipe work lenght with bends that werent nice!

mmmmmm

working on pipe work

Turbo to intercooler pipe work changed, plus balieys dump valved fitted for test usage

tight gap

not the most ideal place for the dump valve, but didnt have anyother pipe etc, will still work fine, might reangle away from road dirt and corosion with a different pipe (will require ordering) temp place.

clutch progress

Recirc valve + pipework

trip to Longlife / Powerspeed today for a de-cat pipe

sports-cat out.. was pretty munched up tbh at one end.. restricting power

Cant beleive the difference it's made! Holds FULL BOOST pulls like an absolute train now! With the recirc valve too it sounds awesome, few pops as expected from a de-cat, love it..

He also made up a pipe for a normal cat for when it comes to MOT time for no extra cost, with the correct flanges + gaskets

Time for some summer wheels & tyres and a good clean..

Had the tyres fitted this morning, changed them over and gave the car a good clean inside & out also gave the engine bay a quick de grease and rinse!

i think they look smart, rear could do with being another 20mm lower or so.. think they would suit a silver c a lot more though.. meh lol

Few pics from ze rebuild a few weeks ago..

Not overly happy with the turbo rebuild, but i still took the booster upto Santa Pod the weekend just passed for TFS..

engine bay a little degrease..

paintwork a quick clean and wax..

Best time up the strip was just a 14.7.. which IMO isnt too bad coming from a 1.8, was pleased with it!

few more pics from the pod!

poor start, booster still spanked the vtec y0, that was only a 15.4

spanking my mates type r

my 14.7 run @ 100.02 mph

diff is going in Monday or tuesday, depends if i finish work at a decent time!
