Ben that doesnt sound like an issue caused by the crank, that sounds like oil presure again!
Even so ill speak to SteBoy and Billy Bannister and if its recomended to change I will. Dont forget Ben i wont be revving my engine as hard or running anywhere near as much power as yourself

Right, collected my gearbox, but its currently sat in the boot of my car and it can stay there until tomorrow.

Also, got this off Possy (the black piece). Put the verniers in just to show what its designed to do.

i was only reving the car to 4 k mate when it did the damage , steve told me just to bin it but i didnt and i used it , apparently when there reground they bend ever so slightly and it cant be sorted , dont want you to build it mate and have to pull it all apert like ive had to

I dont see the problem with running .25 crank as long as you plastergauge to make sure clearances are bang on aswell as having the block line bored checked.
I have a .50 crank in my track car and that gets its head kicked it all the time revs high and running just over 200bhp agreed its not massive power but if an engine is built right then re-ground crank or not it will be fine.

That was my thinking originally. I know Cody's Astra was on .25 all round and was fine up until the point it melted the piston.

I can't see Billy not doing a good job doing the grind either. Will be double checking everything during the actual build so if it needs something then it wont be too much of a set back

What a long un-enthusiastic shitty boring job that was. Been at it all day with breaks to watch bike racing and snooker but its out.







Need to buy another set of weld in seat bars and I fancy a different set of side mounts for the Motordrives.

Tomorrow I plan to remove the dash, loom and as much random crap that is in the engine bay as poss ready for alot of welding up of holes, fitment of chassis brace kit etc etc.

There is one or two Col. The rear seat brackets came out worse as I lost my patience. I now have chapped lips the amount of times I licked my lips whilst thinking about the best way to approach getting it out without making an absolute mess.

I was debating it Ben but I fancy keeping the gear surround. I also like the idea of keeping the gear selector shaft covered too. Im not interested in losing loads and loads of weight, just wanted my seats low in the car and done properly and safely

Got my cylinderhead back from having it aqua blasted. As you can see it is now split mint ready for it to have some work done to it when I eventually get round to ordering my new valves and guides.







On this last pic you can see where its had a new guide fitted. It is the only bronze guide in the head, the rest or standard steel.

With removing the standard cross members that the front seats sat on, I had to come up with a plan to make the loom that sat beside them much tidier.

After some news which pissed me right off at dinner time I had to do something to take my mind off it, so I dived straight into the wiring. I have currently ran out of 3,2mm heatshrink, I ordered some on monday and it still aint shown up but you should be able to see what I have done so far. Much better I think.

I did a load of wire and plug removing last weekend too and went about sorting out my alarm system ready to be reinstalled. Thanks to Greg and Col for being able to answer my questions via phone and txt too, much appreciated. Still loads to do before I get to my final goal wiring wise but its massively better then it was.

Wiring accros the bulkhead has now been finished on the most part. Tried the dash in and im happy with how everything fits.







All the wiring I have now cut out on the scales





Next is the start of my hidden front light loom project. Should be fun
